Join us at one of our Autumn Star Parties!

Orion Nebula

After the sell-out success of our first Star Party last March, The Athenaeum Astronomy Association is delighted to have been invited by St Edmundsbury Borough Council to hold two more parties in Nowton Park next month.

Explore the wonders of the firmament at our dark-sky site in Nowton Park, where our members will introduce specific aspects of the night sky in October, finding and identifying a number of lunar features, prominent constellations, nebulae, star clusters and galaxies as they are seen through different kinds of telescopes and binoculars.

If conditions are unfavourable, the events will still go ahead but with greater emphasis on indoor activities. Suitable for all ages. All children must be supervised. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and bring a torch for walking to and from the car park.

Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
