Join us at a Heritage Open Day - part of England's favourite heritage festival!

Telescope display

Visitors and budding astronomers of all ages will have the opportunity to try out solar observing, using special filters, along with a variety of other astronomy activities.

Why not join us to try out an array of telescopes, or to just discuss amateur astronomy with one of our members? You can also build a gravity well, design a planet, find about about different constellations and build your own constellation viewer.

For the historically-minded, come and learn all about Bury St Edmund's unique Victorian observatory and telescope, which graces the roof of the town's famous Athenaeum building.

Solar observing and astronomy workshop, Saturday 9 September 2018
